AquaTop - Kinect in the bath

This is a novel concept, using Kinect in a water environment. Liquid provides a more natural dynamic landscape, and reflects the UX of most modern touchscreen devices.

Points - interactive signpost

This cool signpost provides interactive dynamic content. Pretty funky design and a real cool piece for events.

Would love to see this around town, or even a little GPS based version for your car.

This new VR headset is amazing! This will probably put a dent in the game consol market, maybe even home theatre.

Wonder if it could be used in any practical setting, rather than in games. Scientific MoAs, surgical demonstrations, and the like.

Microsoft IllumiRoom

This is a real game changer for Microsoft... excuse the pun!

It will surely drive the future of film and gaming into creating really immersive content. And create a whole industry of people creating textures and features to movies that already exist.

The Myo armband is a really nice step away from video based gensture control, The video seems a little overly optimistic, but I am betting this kind of thing will work brilliantly with Google Glass when it eventually starts to be accepted.

Rapberry Pi

I am one click away from buying myself a Raspberry Pi! Just need to do a bit of researching and try to figure out some justification for buying it. It will probably be best as a media centre, but I know it can be so much more...  the video on the right is my first target.

First things first, I am learning Python. If and when I do eventually build something with this, I will post all code on my site free of charge! :-)

I have for some time been interested in quadcopters... and cameras... so as christmas is fast approaching... perhaps... maybe you might be feeling a little generous.

Its not even that expensive... I mean, really... come on!

Google - Free and Open

We need to keep the internet free and open, this is the single most important undertaking in our time. More important that free speech, the internet provides us with the freedom to learn.

LYTRO Cameras

LYTRO Cameras are amazing... I want one soo damn much. Just try clicking on the image to the right!

I can imagine if you layered one of these images as the background of a website, and then placed buttons in suitable locations, you could create a really nice effect of appearing to focus around the object you interact with.

I haven't yet had the opportunity to develop anything with this team, but they are high on my list. The James May science exhibit is brilliant.
