Work experience

Digital Producer (Senior Editor and Account Manager)

AS&K Mercury Healthcare Communications – October 2008 to Present

In this role I support the pharmaceutical industry by providing products and materials to support their communication strategies.I have experience of producing conferences and events, managing editorial resources and outsourcing, developing cost estimates, budgeting strategies and proposals, pitching to clients, live demonstrations, and managing challenging client relationships.

A significant achievement at AS&K Mercury has been the development of the online content library SOURCE (www.ask-source.com). I took this project from initial concept through to managing its implementation within a major pharmaceutical company. The final product is a sophisticated multimedia content library that integrates Dublin-Core metadata with a user friendly tag-based filing system.

I have managed a range of digital projects, including virtual reality models for medical devices, communications and training websites, webinars and online meetings. To complete these projects, I have worked with a wide range of production and audio visual software. In recent correspondence one of our major clients described a communications website that I designed as the ideal model and a template for best practice.

Digital Project Manager (Editorial Production Manager)

BioMed Central – February 2006 to July 2008
